Course Outlines
Our courses run in terms of 12-13 weeks, 4 terms a year. For each term, we try to keep the same teacher for each class, and use the same course book.
We use the latest course books with effective methodology and interactive features that make the courses more engaging and fun. We use a different course book each term so different material is covered.
If you want to find out what course book is being used for the current term please ask the Sales Adviser. If you want to rent a course book, you can rent it for £15. At both the middle and end of the term, there is a progress test and opportunity to speak to your teacher to discuss your progress and ways in which you can improve.
General English Course Outlines
On average a unit from the course book is covered in a week. Your teacher will send you a provisional timetable for the week via email before your Tuesday lesson, so you have an idea of what parts of the unit will be covered and when. Homework is set every evening, including some writing. Evening courses also use course books, but cover a unit in about 2 weeks. Currently at advanced level there is Business-feature on Mondays, which is based on student requests.
On the Business English Online course, teachers will follow well-known course books such as Market Leader 3rd ed. Extra. The level of the course book used are usually B2, C1 or C2 levels. For our online courses, we recommend students to use the digital version of the course book.
