Sono stata a Londra per migliorare il mio inglese ma ho trovato una famiglia composta da amici provenienti da tutto il mondo e lo devo alla scuola e alla bravura degli insegnanti ma ancora di più ai social programme e le gite fuori porta che mi hanno dato la possibilità non solo di visitare posti nuovi come Canterbury, Cambridge e Brighton ma anche parlale e conoscere nuove persone. I had the chance to attend english courses in Speak Up London and had the best time ! The teachers wee great, so were the administration ! I loved the way of teaching there : a perfect mix of speaking, reading, chatting about general subjects with your classmates & teacher, some grammar & vocabulary ! Se eu tiver uma oportunidade futura de voltar à Londres para estudar, Speak Up seria novamente minha primeira escolha.

I have been taking classes at this school for over a month. While not all teachers seemed professional to me, the front desk staff and management were quite helpful. If you are dissatisfied with a course, you can request a change, and they will assist you in finding a another course. I once had a rather "amazing" substitute teacher. Once during a lesson, I was talking about how friends from different countries tease each other in good fun, when he suddenly grabbed his own collar and said with complete seriousness, "What does your country produce? Cheap clothes?" I was utterly shocked and did not know how to respond. On one occasion, as the class was about to end, he displayed my personal information (like my full name, date of birth etc.) on the classroom screen for everyone to see and prepared to leave. When I stopped him and asked why he had done that, he replied, "There was nothing else to display." I was left speechless and confused. He even once called me “a spy” in front of other students. Was he trying to be humorous, or was he simply expressing his own prejudice? I understand that everyone has biases, but as a teacher, shouldn't he be held to a higher standard? Even if a student comes from a country with a different political system, how could an ordinary student like me possibly represent or influence an entire nation? As an educated Irishman, especially one with a degree in philosophy, he should understand this better than most. He repeatedly asked me about another student from my country, pressing me about what kind of person he was. When I questioned, "As a teacher, why are you so concerned with a student's personality?" he responded that some students were simply boring and uninteresting. Once again, I was at a loss for words. Another time, a few students and I went to dinner, and he joined us. At the restaurant, he began harassing a young East Asian waitress who appeared to be about 18 years old, going so far as to grab her hand. I hesitate to use the word racism, but it makes me wonder, would he have acted the same way had she been a white or a black girl? I rarely write complaints, but I feel compelled now because I am deeply troubled by this teacher's behaviour. I hope that by sharing my experience, on one hand, future students can be more cautious, and on the other hand the School would pay more attention to the teachers' professional ethics. Apart from that teacher, my overall experience at the School was quite positive. Chris at the front desk was very professional and patient. Management Vera and Fred were very responsible in helping you follow up on things. My regular teacher Matt was very professional and gave every student an equal opportunity to express themselves (my class is mainly oral). If you want to learn English and make friends, this school is a great choice, and the location is also very convenient. One person's behaviour cannot represent the school, as I believe the school will follow up on every genuine complaint.

Je suis très contente de mon parcours au sein de l’école Speak Up. J’avais prévu de faire 12 semaines et, au final, j’ai prolongé jusqu’à 20 semaines. Un bon apprentissage des cours et de la grammaire anglaise. Une équipe professionnelle et disponible pour vous accompagner et vous conseiller. Mon niveau en anglais s’est largement amélioré : j’ai commencé en A2 la première semaine et je suis actuellement en B2, avec beaucoup plus de confiance pour parler anglais.

Los profesores son nativos, altamente capacitados y realmente se preocupan por el progreso de cada estudiante. Las clases son dinámicas, interactivas y adaptadas a diferentes niveles, lo que facilita mucho el aprendizaje del inglés, tanto para principiantes como para avanzados. Además, ofrecen muchas actividades sociales y talleres que ayudan a mejorar el idioma de manera práctica mientras se conoce gente de todo el mundo. La ubicación en el centro de Londres es inmejorable y las instalaciones están siempre limpias y bien organizadas. Durante le mie tre settimane alla scuola di inglese Speak Up mi sono trovata molto bene. L’ambiente era accogliente e stimolante, gli insegnanti preparati e disponibili, sempre pronti ad aiutare e a rendere le lezioni coinvolgenti. Ho avuto modo di migliorare il mio inglese sia nella grammatica che nella conversazione, grazie anche al confronto con studenti provenienti da diversi paesi. È stata un’esperienza utile, divertente e arricchente, che consiglio a chiunque voglia migliorare la lingua in un contesto dinamico e internazionale.

Классное расположение школы, рядом Британский музей, магазины, супермаркеты, театры и в целом вся движуха. От сюда очень удобно ходить или ездить до самых главных достопримечательностей! Много разных социальных активностей, в том числе поездки в другие города и прогулки по Лондонским достопримечательностям! Я была в Оксфорде и Кэмбридже. Регулярные разговорные уроки и даже спортивные активности. И самое классное что быстро можно дать обратную связь и сказать если что-то не нравится и возможно поменять уровень или перейти в другую группу с другим учителем. В первый день нас подарили фирменные шопперы с информацией, а на следующий день выдали учебники по которым мы учились! В общем я очень довольна школой.)
