Every General English course follows a course book, with the aim of covering one unit a week.
Your teacher will send you a provisional timetable for the week via email before your Tuesday lesson, so you have an idea of what parts of the unit will be covered and when. Homework is set every evening, including some writing.
If you want to buy a course book, you can buy it for £30. If you want to rent a course book, you can rent it for £30 but you get £15 back when you return the book. Course books can be purchased at the reception.

I really enjoyed my time in SpeakUp london. The teacher that I had (Holly and Jonathan) were amazing. It was always a pleasure to go to their class and learn new things. I was one of the happiest students in Speak Up London. Because they did their best to help me to improve my English. I started with General English at lower-intermediate level and after 4 months I was advanced. Then I moved to IELTS class. I needed to get 6,5/9 to be able to start my masters and I did it in 3 months with those amazing teachers.
I would like to say something about this school. I'm from Italy and I'm 23 years old. Before I came here, my English was very basic, so it wasn't easy at the beginning. I enjoy spending time in this school and I've learned a lot. The secretaries who work here have always helped me with everything, they are very professional and friendly.

I was in Speak up London for 3 months and my English had improve so quickly ! Teachers are very well and the way to teach are interesting. Also, it's only few groups of people so you can improve your level easier; it's not difficult to participate. Students come from a lot of different countries and it's so nice to share moments in an English class. I recommend this school for the seriousness !
